4. Blue Lagoon

 

– 30 min away from the Keflavik International Airport, is the famous Blue Lagoon. You can visit it on the day before your flight, right before the tour ends. With its blue milky water and black rocks for boundary, mountains, and hills in the backdrop, this spot makes it absolutely picture perfect! Get soaked in this geothermally heated pool and let its mineral-rich water do wonders to your skin.

 

5. Kirkjufell

 

– Mountain’s pyramid resembling shape, surrounded by beautiful Waterfalls, makes for a very tourist-attracting spot. This place is Iceland summed up in one picture. Located in the Snæfellsnes peninsula, is this gorgeous picturesque place. To get pictures that look like something out of a fairytale, then visit at night and get ready to be pleasantly surprised by its beauty.

 

6. The diamond beach

 

– Located near Jökulsárlón Glacier on the southern coast of Iceland is the stunning diamond beach. This beach is nothing like any beach you’d have ever seen in your life. The black sand of the beach and contrasting stark whitish, silverish, and blue pieces of icebergs that wash up on the shore, make it so beautiful. 7. Hraunfossar waterfalls

 

– A very unique waterfall where water creeps through the landscape, from the magma present in the womb of the earth. 8. Skógafoss waterfall

 

– Situated two hours south of Reykjavík, is the Skógafoss waterfall along with the serene Skóga river. This mighty waterfall stands proudly with a height of 200 ft and 49 ft width. Iceland has its fair share of waterfalls, but this one takes the cake for me. One can truly marvel at the sight of it and appreciate mother nature and its wonders.
